Come join our biking safari in South Africa as we explore the culture and beauty of this adventurous land. Visit modern Cape Town and experience the vista at the top of Table Mountain (via cable car!). Enjoy the cultural experience of listening to the rhythm and harmony of an African gospel choir. Cycle to Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden and on Woodbridge Island. Sip a wine (or two!) at Constantia Valley Winelands. Swim with penguins, visit nature preserves, and take a boat tour to the Nelson Mandela prison site. End the tour with a bonfire on the beach to bid a sad farewell to all your new adventurous friends.

Day 1, Saturday - Arrive Cape Town, South Africa
Transfer to Tarragona Lodge or similar 4-star lodging in beautiful Hout Bay just 20 minutes from downtown Cape Town
Welcome orientation/drink, dinner and overnight

Day 2, Sunday - Table Mountain to Cape Town, South Africa
Total biking 35km/22mi
7-8 AM - Early morning breakfast
8:30 AM - Bike 20 km to Table Mountain and District 6 Colored Township to visit church service and listen to African gospel choir.
11:15 AM - Enjoy the rhythm and harmony of African a capello Gospel choir singing.
12:30 PM - Cable car to top of Table Mountain and lunch.
3:00 PM - Return to bottom of Table Mountain Cable Car and cycle 5 km to Cape Town Historic V and A Waterfront.
Time to shop and look around and then continue cycling 5 km to Green Point.
5 PM - Return by bus to Hout Bay, Tarragona Lodge.
7 PM - Dinner

Day 3, Monday - Kirstenbosch to Woodbridge Island to Blaauwberg Bay

8-9 AM - breakfast
9 AM - Bike 20 km to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens
1:00 PM - Lunch at Kirstenbosch Gardens.
2:00 PM - Depart by bus to Woodbridge Island and cycling 15 km to Blaauwberg Strand Ons Huisie's beachside cafe for a view of Robben Island and a spectacular view of Cape Town with Table Mountain looming in the background.
5:00 PM - return by bus to Tarragona Lodge
7:00 PM - Dinner

Day 4, Tuesday - Wine Country
Total biking 40km/25mi
8-9 AM - breakfast
9 AM - Cycling 20 km to Constantia Neck and then wine route tour of the breathtaking Constantia Valley Winelands and historic estates.
12 PM - Wine tasting at local vineyard followed by lunch at vineyard
Continue cycling around historic Constantia Valley Winelands
4 PM - Return by bike 20 km to Tarragona Lodge
7 PM - Dinner
Overnight Tarragona Lodge
Day 5, Wednesday - Silvermine, Simon's Town, Boulder Beach, Cape Point, Hout Bay, South Africa
Total biking 37km/23mi
8-9 AM - breakfast
9 AM - Transfer by bus to Silver Mine Nature Reserve and cycle 25 km to Simon's Town/Boulder Beach and swim with penguins and visit Simon's Town Naval Museum
12:00 pm - Lunch at Boulder Beach.
1:00 PM - Bike an additional 12 km to the entrance of Cape Point National Park.
3:00 PM - Return by bus to Hout Bay
7:00 PM - Dinner

Day 6, Thursday - Cape Town, South Africa
9 AM - Breakfast
No biking today
Morning tour of Historic Cape Town.
Lunch in V and A Waterfront
Boat tour to Robben Island and Nelson Mandela prison site.
Return to Tarragona Lodge
7 PM - Dinner and Pasta Party Carb Loading for the big cycling day tomorrow.
Day 7, Friday - Cape Point to Hout bay
Total cycling 60km/37mi
6 AM - breakfast
6:30 am - Transfer by bus to Cape Point National Park
8:00 AM - begin cycling 60 km return to Hout Bay with stop for lunch en route
7 PM - Farewell bonfire dinner on beach at Hout Bay
Overnight Hout Bay
Day 8, Saturday - Depart
9 AM - Breakfast
Check out and tour by bus of Stellenbosch Wine Route and lunch en route
Return to Cape Town Airport and return flight
