Experience the serenity of the veldt as we view wildlife in their native habitat and spend overnight on the Savannah Game Preserve. Feel the cooling breezes of biking along the Vaal River and enjoy a relaxing sunset cruise. Pick fresh berries and sample freshly made yogurt. Enjoy the rhythm and harmony of an African gospel choir, and visit the stirring apartheid museum. Immerse yourself into the African culture as we watch Zulu dancers (and maybe pick up a dance step or two!) See the modernized beauty of South Africa's largest city, Johannesburg. Enjoy a sumptuous farewell bonfire barbecue while you exchange e-mails with your new friends.

Day 1, Saturday - Arrive Johannesburg, South Africa JNB.
Transfer to Savannah. Welcome orientation/drink, dinner and overnightDay 2, Sunday - Parys and Tumahole Black Township, South Africa

7-8 AM - Early morning breakfast
8:30 AM - Biking 25km/16mi to Parys and Tumahole Black Township to visit church service and listen to African gospel choir.
11:15 AM - Enjoy the rhythm and harmony of African a capello Gospel choir singing.
1:00 PM - Biking 5km/3mi and return to Parys and lunch at a beautiful restaurant on the banks of the famed Vaal River
3:00 PM - Return by bus to Savannah. Time to clean up and rest for a short while.
4:30 PM - Game drive to see the abundant wildlife on the Savannah Cheetah Foundation Game Preserve.
5:30 PM - return to main lodge
6:00 PM - Dinner

Day 3, Monday - Vaal River Dam and Johannesburg, South Africa

7-8 AM - breakfast
8 AM - Biking 43km27mi to Vaal River Dam
12:00 PM - Arrive Vaal River Dam and time to clean up at local water park.
1:00 PM - Depart by bus to Johannesburg Apartheid Museum with lunch en route on the bus.
2-4 PM - Arrive Apartheid Museum and visit
4 PM - Return to Vaal River Dam
5 PM - Arrive Vaal River Dam. Chance to water ski, swim, relax
Sunset cruise on Vaal River reservoir and dinner
8 PM - Return by bus to Savannah

Day 4, Tuesday - Game Preserve, Dairy and Berry Farm
Total biking 46km/29mi
8 AM - Game drive to see abundant wildlife around Savannah Game Preserve
9-10 AM - Breakfast
10 AM - Biking 8km/5mi to dairy for tour of the faciliites and freshly made yogurt for a late morning snack.
Continue biking 8km/5mi to Berry Farm for lunch, berry-picking and desert.
2 PM - Continue biking 30km/19mi loop back to Savannah
7 PM - Dinner

Day 5, Wednesday - Tumahole Black Township and Vaal River, South Africa

8-9 AM - Breakfast
9 AM - Begin biking 22km/14mi to Tumahole Black Township
11:30 AM - 1 PM - Visit Black Township and lunch at local restaurant.
1 PM - Biking 38km/24mi along the beautiful Vaal River and return to Savannah

Day 6, Thursday - Relaxation

7 PM - Dinner Pasta Party - Carb Loading for Big Day on Friday

Day 7, Friday - Dome World Heritage site, Vaal River and Boma, South Africa
Total Biking 80km/50mi
6 AM - Breakfast
6:30 AM - Transfer to Dome World Heritage Site for beginning of cycling day.
7:30 AM - Begin Dome cycling route 80 km back to Savannah with picnic lunch en route next to beautiful Vaal River.
4:00 PM - Arrival back to Savannah and begin resting
7 PM - African Farewell Bonfire Barbecue in Boma with Zulu Dancers
9 PM - Game drive to see the abundant wildlife of the Savannah Game Preserve
10 PM - Return to Main Lodge
Overnight at Savannah
Day 8, Saturday - Johannesburg, South Africa
9 AM - Breakfast
Farewell Game Drive and check-out.
Return to Johannesburg and Curio Market (Flea Market)
Transfer afterwards to Johannesburg Airport and return home, or......
